    TITLE: Grants Assistant
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field
    • At least three years of relevant experience in grants administration, business management, accounting, or related industry
    • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
    • Knowledge and proficiency of technology platforms and systems
    • An ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, exhibit flexibility, work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines
    • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
    REPORTS TO: Assistant Finance Director
    JOB GOAL: Oversees grant processes throughout the life cycle of each grant. Manages grant budgets, workflow processes and the grant-reporting pipeline, in order to effectively maintain all records and compliance items. Collaborates with grants staff and program leaders to ensure grants are managed within required parameters.
    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Supports administrators and program staff to evaluate program needs and assists with identifying appropriate grant opportunities.
    • Reviews all grant proposals to ensure alignment with District goals and objectives to represent the best interests of the District.
    • Implements initial grant budgets and develops grant-specific tracking mechanisms to ensure compliance.
    • Maintains a master calendar of grant-related events and advises stakeholders of upcoming deadlines and required deliverables.
    • Utilizes technology products and platforms such as grant administration systems, enterprise-wide services, financial management systems, and Microsoft Excel.
    • Reviews expenditures and revenues, prepares reports for program leaders, and advises on applicability of proposed purchases and optimal procurement method.
    • Research and troubleshoot grant-related concerns and collaborate with internal and external grant stakeholders to determine the best course of action.
    • Ensure proper and timely reporting is completed for both financial and narrative reports for funding agencies.
    • Performs other duties assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the position.
    • Assume other duties and functions as may be assigned by supervisor.
    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    Per Policy 4140.2/4240.2 and Administrative Regulation 4140.2/4240.2.
    EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Non-Certified Staff.
